I've tried other stitching programs but just did not like them as well as my old program. (and frankly some were so expensive that it's ridiculous, especially considering how crappy they were)
the fee version of my old program is limited to canvases of 99x99 stitches. and as far as I can tell, that's the only difference between it and the pro version, but it would be REALLY NICE to be able to create larger patterns.

I'm wondering if there's any smart programmer types out there who could look at it and
one: tell me if it is legit
&two: help me figure out how to get/find a "license key" so i can use to pro version
(the og dev made a newer stitching program but frankly it's a POS, shitty, buggy as hell, not nearly as many features & customizations, etc.)

so, there's this software that I use to make my cross stitch patterns, and I love it and it's essentially the only program that i've been able to use that I like and can get the results I want with.
I have the free version i downloaded ages ago before he took it offline.
but the creator pretty much abandoned the whole project in 2022 and I can't find anywhere to legit buy the license key that doesn't look sketchy as hell, and frankly the actual program DL kinda looks kinda sketch.

I def prefer #storygraph over #bookwyrm as bookwyrm doesn’t have anywhere near all the #books in my reading history, & is missing covers for a large portion of the books it can find, (as well as several other issues) but i do love the fediverse integration, so will try to keep it updated for now if anyone is interested in what I’m #reading.
(Pay no attention to the edition, most will actually be audio, but those don’t exist on bookwyrm 🙄)

this is prob. a weird one:
I'm thinking of switching to the Canadian Multilingual Standard #keyboard layout - i find myself needing odd stuff often enough that switching back & forth is starting to annoy me, but there is no way I'm memorizing the layout w/o a visual cue on the keys
I can find little stickers that I can use but they are "permanent" & I dunno if I'll actually be ok with the switch or not & would prefer something removable until I'm 100% sure.
anybody got a good source?

been kinda tossing around the idea of trying out gelli plate printing, also kinda interested in trying to do linocut prints or something.
only problem is that i can't really spend a lot to invest in supplies. I can ask for help in that regard from fam for my birthday, but I dunno which to poke at first, and whenever I start researching I start feeling really overwhelmed.
do any of my artist friends have any advice?
