@grunfink Hi, have you got an example gemini site that uses #sutter?

Looks like CocoaDevCentral.com went away in July of this year (2024). Luckily their beautiful tutorials have been preserved at archive.org: https://web.archive.org/web/20240115164707/http://cocoadevcentral.com/

(And on my harddisk. You never know, heh?)

When my wife saw the new version of MS Office would cost 300€ she decided she would well be able to use #LibreOffice as she is not too old to learn how to use it.

Probably thatβ€˜s the difference. I always thought Iβ€˜m too old to bother with MS Office. πŸ˜‰

@lapcatsoftware Hi, thank you for your work. Iβ€˜ve got a question: StopTheMadness for tvOS - is this anything we may expect at some point?

Two more releases and it will be a full grown operating system. πŸ˜‰ By that time I'm hopefully able to provide some nice #ObjC bindings. πŸ˜‰

Celebrating the release of @elementary OS 8 with some coffee from my #elementaryOS mug.

Congrats to the (really kinda small) team for their awesome work, really bringing forward those nice pieces of software!

I really like the #UbuntuTouch / #UBPorts project. Itβ€˜s got a really great community. But what can we do about some home dir encryption? Missing file #encryption really is a blocker for daily usage, would be just grossly negligent.

When you're learning #C and are done with tutorials and toy projects look at @lagrange by @jk. You've got almost all the code you need in one repo, you may read and understand it, because it's written very well and it's really not that much code. And when you compile it, you've got – tadaa πŸŽ‰ – a #browser!

Uhm, well, that's a completely reasonable collection of source code repositories. Software, everything written in basic #C by @grunfink

https://codeberg.org/grunfink

I'd like to use at least two of them: #sutter, the #gmi and #html static site generator and #snac2, an #ActivityPub instance.

Further testing @elementary I am very happy I eventually could fix the annoying "hanging screen" bug, which was due to a bug of the #i915 graphics driver. Now the whole experience is a lot better thanks to the great hint of @mikael I only read by chance.

https://github.com/elementary/gala/issues/2023

Now I hope the remaining glitches of the very important #AppCenter and #SoftwareUpdates parts are fixed before release of #OS8, because they don't seem stable enough to me right now.

Still testing @elementary Daily and it just looks gorgeous. It has some bugs, but I can add my Nextcloud account using GNOME Control Center and all of the calendars and task show up in the #elementaryOS apps very nicely.

Looks like I got the wrong display for #elementaryOS. This one, full HD on 12,5”, will need fractional scaling.

Regarding the upcoming @elementary OS 8 release, I bought a β€žnewβ€œ #ThinkPad X280 to test it. Looking forward to do so for my last days off. #elementaryOS
