Like washing your FiveTens while you're washing the bike, because you're wearing SealSkinz socks, and so you can do it with the shoes on. Similar experience.

The GripGrab gloves performed well, again. I do no longer think they're infallible, because the tips of my fingers do get cold.

But:

When we were back at Jeff's and we washed the bikes, I did not notice that while doing so, I completely soaked the gloves. I did not notice because my hands stayed dry. That was impressive!

I saw this post with a hand-written note in German, saying “the opposite of perfectionism isn't FAILURE, it's FREEDOM” and attributed to Nicola Jane Hobbs (https://troet.cafe/@gute_Mine/113934058811486577).

It rang true, I had never heard of her, so I started looking. She's active on two platforms that I do not frequent, unfortunately, and not anywhere in the fediverse :-(

When we got back to the car, we found Charles' car right behind it. Turns out he was riding the Gempen with his son.

Albeit some "shiiit!" moment on the muddy down hill, this was a great ride!

We went down Arlesheim Trail, which was muddier than we thought it'd be. I guess we hadn't been on the Gempen for so long that we had forgotten about it's ability to cling to bikes and hold on to mud... #Fatbike

There is a restaurant at the top. It opens at 11 on Sundays, which is probably just as well. When we got there, I was pretty shattered. There is a short, punchy climb which I managed to do for the first time in a long time. #Fatbike

Jeff and I tackled the Gempen, today,the "other hill" around here. To be fair, for a lot of people the Blauen is "the other hill".

Anyway.

It was cold and overcast, and a little muddy, but not too bad. This is the last "flat" before the top, visible on the right. #MTB #Fatbike #MorningRide

I wish Strava let me define a "default eBike" for those e-Bike rides that are uploaded by the Spesh.

I mean there is rides, and there is eBike rides. I really should have a default bike for each?

I just frowned at Android Studio and said some stern words. It had underlined a piece of code as an error, and I was of the opinion that thecode was correct.

Did a Build > Rebuild Project, and it turns out I was right!

I'm not sure what to feel.

I think I'm equal parts thinking "Wow! I knew that!" and "I really don't want to know that :("

How will I commute next week? I used to have a non-e commuter, but one of my girls is using that now, so all I have is a full-sus or a fat bike, neither of which is equipped for riding on roads...

My eBike is making horrible "CLACK" noises whenever I stop pedalling. It developed on the way to work on Friday and has gotten worse.

LBS is informed, so now waiting for the day I can drop it off with them. May be the engine. Sigh...

Holy Mavin, Batman! I just accidentally noticed that the debug version of this app I have been writing for like 2 weeks, no more, is a 65M size APK, and it takes 110M on the phone!

Thinking back to my first ever Palm OS app that came in at 53K in it's most advanced version.
