My mother passed away on January 17th and my siblings and I have hit a financial snag in trying to settle some of her last expenses.

Food stamps are getting frozen in the US so I'm going to be out of luck for groceries for a while, I think. Gonna look for local food pantries.

They took mom off the ventilator yesterday morning but then they called before midnight last night to say she had to go back on. Her breathing and heart function is still not where they would like it to be before they take her off the breathing tube.

Mom is in the hospital after a suspected heart attack. She's been transferred to a main hospital and needs a bypass and another type of heart surgery but she's high risk due to pre-existing conditions. I'm not sure what's going to happen but I need to double down on finding work and making enough to keep the house for a little while.

Staying with my sister in the meantime to try and figure stuff out. Still need to make money for my bills and some to take the pressure off.
