A thing I do when despair levels are increasing is donate to a worthy cause. Doesn't have a be huge sums, boots on the ground causes usually work best. Just gave to The Low Income Housing Institute. I encourage you to try it if you can. Beats doomscrolling. https://www.lihihousing.org

Just realized that a very vivid memory of a concert I attended in the ‘80s is just false so please pile some sticks around me and leave me here.

(I have a feeling I conflated a concert video with my experience. Turns out I did not make eye contact and then get on stage and dance with Bruce Springsteen. And then star on "Friends”.)

(Actually, it was Huey Lewis who I did see but in Hartford, not New York and not outside as I remember it.)
