The best tip I can give when using #Linux is to reboot the system right after upgrading the kernel via package manager. Otherwise the most random and stupidest things stop working without any obvious connection to the kernel upgrade.

Examples:

• Non-working USB sticks and peripherals (My game controller once randomly remapped all buttons but worked fine elsewise)

• VPN connections

• Docker container management

• TBC!

Phew, finally migrated my #mastodon installation from #baremetal to #docker. The upgrade process was to annoying for me to deal with any longer..
