It's been a bit since I wrote here. A lot has happened. I got laid off, I freelanced for a while (far longer than I had hoped), and I welcomed a new human into the world.
I would've have been able to make it through these things the same person if it weren't for the loving support of my partner. I remember being in my teens and twenties and thinking that I didn't need anyone, that I was fully capable of going it alone. The older I get, the more greatful I am to have someone going through the ups and downs of life with me.
Anyway, that's enough for now. Hoping to get into a regular cadence for updating this gemlog. More soon!
