A LARGE AREA OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN WILL MOVE ACROSS MUCH OF CENTRAL KENTUCKY EAST OF INTERSTATE 65. THE HEAVY RAIN AREA WILL MOVE INTO LEXINGTON AROUND NOON EDT AND ON TO WINCHESTER AND RICHMOND BY 1230 PM EDT. THE BACK EDGE OF THE HEAVIER RAIN WAS OVER WESTERN JEFFERSON COUNTY AT 1130 AM EDT.
THE HEAVIER RAINFALL WILL LAST AN HOUR TO AN HOUR AND A HALF ONCE THE HEAVIER RAIN BEGINS.
RAINFALL AMOUNTS COULD TOTAL AN ADDITIONAL INCH OR SO BEFORE THE RAIN DIMINISHES. THE RAIN COULD CAUSE PONDING OF WATER IN ROADWAYS.
DO NOT DRIVE ACROSS ROADS COVERED WITH WATER. THE WATER MAY BE TOO DEEP TO DRIVE THROUGH SAFELY. DO NOT TAKE A CHANCE...TURN AROUND... DO NOT DROWN. SCHOLZ
