Weather Updates

Well, a good bit of the area saw some rain this morning with
scattered light showers continuing throughout the afternoon. An
isolated shower may be found overnight, but things should be coming
to an end before Wednesday morning. The front will pass overnight,
but southerly winds will continue into Wednesday. With plenty of
moisture and daytime heating, isolated storms cannot be ruled out
in the afternoon. Thursday and Friday look to be a very active
period weather-wise. The Storm Prediction Center has outlined our
entire area under a slight risk for severe storms during that time
frame. A very robust area of low pressure is forming across the
Great Plains and should drag a cold front through the area Thursday
night. The time frame of the front will have a lot to do with
whether we will see individual storms or if the storms will form
more linear and turn into a squall line. Regardless, we will end
the work week on a stormy note. The weekend is shaping up to be
another dry one.
