Weather Updates
===================================
It was another pleasant day here in Central and Eastern Kentucky On
Thursday with abundant sunshine and afternoon highs pretty
comfortable for mid September. Temperatures reached the low 80s in
most locations and while things will stay warm to end the week, we
do have another cool down on the way for the weekend. The remnants
of Humberto to our southwest will try to work northeastward into
Friday as the frontal system drops in from the northwest. At this
point it appears the best chance for rain will be across south and
southeast Kentucky with that moisture potentially reaching that far
to the north. It's all about the timing of the front, so hopefully
it will slow down a bit allowing some additional moisture to funnel
northward. Once the front passes through, expect a significant cool
down for the weekend with afternoon highs only in the upper 60s and
low 70s and early morning lows in the 40s. It will be a quick taste
of fall as warmer air is expected to return to Kentucky as we
officially wrap up the summer season next week. By the mid week
temperatures may creep back toward the mid and even a few upper
80s...TG
