Weather Updates

It was another hot one here in Central and Eastern Kentucky on
Wednesday with afternoon highs into the low and mid 90s. With
enough moisture streaming northward, we saw scattered thunderstorms
during the heating of the day and we should see more of the same
for Thursday as a slow moving front heads toward Kentucky.
Temperatures should begin to cool off a bit with highs into the
upper 80s Thursday and only the low 80s on Friday. The upcoming
holiday weekend looks pretty good with highs in the mid 80s and a
good bit of sunshine expected. By Labor Day we may see a few
isolated storms possible but at this point those look few and far
between. Of course that isn't necessarily a good thing given the
drought across the commonwealth. At least temperatures will be more
bearable as we close out August and head into September this
weekend...TG
