Best Band on the year 2023

MEUTE is a brass band from Hamburg/Germany. The clou is: They play techno. Really well!

While the last year was full of great music for me, this is definitely the one single band I fell in love with most.

I'm not really a fan of Techno, even though I grew up in its prime time. But to listen to real musicians play groovy music in such precision is a feast for the ears. They established an iconic appearance with flawless, understated performance. They don't flinch a bit on stage but hit you like a hammer. Highly recommended for dancing or driving at night: the beat keeps you afloat with a constant energy gently pushing you on.

For starters, have a look at their performance on top of the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg and give it a few minutes to build up: Then surf the music nodding your head to the beat!
