Colophon

This is a tiny server powered by OpenBSD, httpd(8), relayd(8) and gmid(1).

Server

I found gmid as the most powerful gemini server, with unique security features in the same philosophy as OpenBSD does.

=> gmid

In the past I was using molly-brown, and the experience was flawlessly as well (and works under plan9 with a little hacking!)

CGI Applications

I'm using golang language for some applications (like the APOD and ISS) and I was using simple/shitty python code for the kwh and the Voyager Mission Status apps (currently disabled).

After some security concerns with some python packages I must go to a more safe language. Also I'm keeping an eye over the CGI apps and gmid security:

Clients

Desktop and Mobile

I'm using Lagrange in desktop and mobile (android)

=> Lagrange

Lagrange is the best client available today, with unique features and support for multiple protocols, not only the gemini protocol but gopher, finger, spartan and more.

I'm using amfora in the terminal. It's very clean and fast and supports bookmarks and gemini subscriptions

=> amfora

castor9 is the best plan 9 gemini client available, simple and faster

=> castor9

AmiGemini is a browser for the Gemini protocol which does the job (needs AmiSSL package previously installed)

=> AmiSSL | AmiGemini

Tools

In order to access your gemini capsule from the conventional www, you will need a gemini proxy like kineto

=> kineto

This is the little program that I'm using for manage my gemlog content and the atom feed.

=> gssg

This is a feed aggregator for gemini supporting many formats and protocols

=> comitium
