This is my first year doing Advent of Code and to be honest, I'm a little underwhelmed. The daily coding exercises have been mostly about string parsing, for-loop arithmetic, and... ugh... form validation. I was expecting more complicated puzzles and code katas.

We are five days into the 24-day challenge, so maybe I should withhold my judgment for now. I might lose interest soon, though.
