The web has become too complex

I’ve been updating my personal website to conform to the latest and greatest web standards. I’ve come to the conclusion that the web has gotten too complex for its own good, to the point where a simple static site has so much complexity that no one can be totally 100% compliant with best practices.

Despite my best intentions I had to add some hacky fixes anyway. Maybe I’ll start putting more energy into geminispace instead.
