Not in any kind of concrete,systematic way I can grasp at, but being subjected to repeated viewings of a video ad during the course of a "session" of media consumption sure feels like someone beating me over the head with a piece rebar. The same 15 second section of some godawful "indie girl band" delivering an overwrought reinteretation of a classic song, the sounds and phrases repeated over and over and over until they become lodged in your grey matter like a bullet. It becomes stuck in your head like a venereal disease. You begin humming "why can't we be friends" absent-mindedly throughout the day.
