I set up weather reporting over gemini tonight. It runs a little slow as a cgi application, but does the job. Came together from notes I took on the various national weather service apis in about 2 hours of Python coding.

=> gemini://rawtext.club/~sloum/cgi/weather

The URL is a type 10 (query) url. The idea is that if you enter the URL the first time you visit, you can then bookmark the result and then always get your local weather.

I plan to make the output a little nicer in the long run with some fun emojis/unicode goodies. For now it is just basic gemtext. Hopefully someone finds it useful!

Have a good night geminispace.
