text/gemini I just looked at our homepage and user list. To my surprise, there was a new user! Welcome acdw[1]! acdw mentioned in a gemlog post[2] that they would like to see a portal/proxy/stargate hosted here at gemlog.blue. I had not really thought of doing that, but it actually does make a lot of sense. I'll start thinking on it and mock something up. Currently when a member writes or edits a post they are given the link to their post. It is given as an html anchor tag with the text being the gemini URL, but the `href` is through `proxy.vulpes.one`[3]. As far as the proxies for gemini go I really love the style of the vulpes proxy. If I make something here I would like it to have a good feel like that. Thanks for the idea acdw! I definitely think it would further the mission of this website (letting anyone access geminispace, even if they dont have the technical know-how to ssh/rsync/git etc). Like you, I have also found that I like this portal for quick/on the fly messages that are easy to compose from anywhere... while my longer form writing is saved for my gopherholes or my other gemini locations. As a lover of pasta I am looking forward to hearing about the results of the pasta sauce adventure as well :-D ________________________ => gemini://gemlog.blue:1965/users/acdw/ 1. acdw => gemini://gemlog.blue:1965/users/acdw/1593446275.gmi 2.
