Do you ever feel like you're at a transition point? Like an older way of being is falling away and a new one is taking its place? That's what the past six months has been feeling like.

It's not anything sudden, I think it's just a natural progression that's finally a hit a point that it's starting to feel real to me.

More concretely, I think I've finally started to see my current career (teacher/writer/musician/experimental artist) as more than just a consolation prize I got from leaving my phd. It's starting to feel more like a real path forward and less like something to do to merely be useful given my failure.
