I went with these based on these criteria:

• fuck facebook (so no oculus or meta or whatever)
• tethered (I don't want to to have to rely on their VR-specific computer)
• has to play job simulator because the kid has been bugging me to play that for the last like, 4 years. XD
• not discontinued

first on the list was a like, Varjo Aero? but after clicking through various websites, eventually it showed me a price of like, $2000... that's a bit much.

kind of looks like Aeros are kind of hard to actually find anyway.

most of these companies have moved away from tethered anyway :/

ok, so for a Vive Pro 2... just the headset on new egg is like, $800
