The static site generator (SSG) is improving
AS mentioned some days ago (at least in passing), we had become interested in improving the site's workflow some more and began implementing draft functionality in the SSG. Earlier this week we began testing it on a test server and today we pushed to live. This article was the first to use the drafting mechanism.

The SSG was first created in the summer of 2022 and deployed to Tux Machines about a month after a first "stable" (ish) version became available. It has improved since then, but changes were modest and prudent. We don't want to risk breaking what's on the live servers. Sure, we have decent backups, but they're a safety net that's a last resort.
What does the new functionality mean? Well, it means that peer-review or auditing of upcoming articles by multiple authors is now possible. It also means that drafting can be done in nano (the editor) on the server instead of on desktops/laptops 'offline'. For multi-editor site the new functionality will have many uses. █
