A year ago Maharlika showed encouraging signs of GNU/Linux adoption. It has since then improved even further as more people move to mobile, more Windows users defect to GNU/Linux, and Android is now measured at nearly 88% of the market unless there's a very serious data issue/error.

This week we learn of nations and large companies cancelling Microsoft contacts over security breaches and other factors. Microsoft began cooking the books and massively increasing prices to hide the effect of that. A family member told me this week that everything is now Android (i.e. Google) and to authorities all that matters is "app stores", mainly Google's and notably Apple's, too. Microsoft has become just a footnote. In some countries, for instance, Windows is so extinct that it can be almost ignored. █
