09:16 schestowitz; But currently, it is much much too hard to install, even if it's better than it was, and it is going to scare Linux people off unless they are seriously hardcore.
09:16 schestowitz; I've been running TrueNAS Core on my home NAS for a while now and I like it. So far it's been bulletproof.
09:16 schestowitz; There is potential in this OS, but it needs to work a bit harder on its outreach. Pick a nice simple default desktop, something that isn't mainstream in the Linux world for differentiation -- Xfce works great -- and a simple clean default set of apps. Something akin to an Ubuntu Minimal Install: desktop, file manager, maybe some viewers, text editor, and a good browser.

But Estonian artist Tauno Erik has done something a bit different thanks to embedded hardware and the power of tinyML. 13:13 schestowitz; [12:23] Hi Roy,
13:13 schestowitz; [12:23] I have a few request before that let me wish you for completing 18 years.
13:13 schestowitz; [12:23] I was suppose to wish you early but I was not able to make it out extremely sorry for that.
13:13 schestowitz; [12:27] Finally, I can contact you now
13:13 schestowitz; [12:27] I'm not able to post my content on your website since you changed the interface, and I saw that there are some sections where you have created a separate section for leading websites like Tecmint, itsfoss, and many others.
13:13 schestowitz; [12:27] If you could give us some small place to show off our article on your website, then it would be a great help. We publish a couple of articles every day, which can be useful for you readers, and eventually I'll get a few new readers.
13:13 schestowitz; [12:27] Or else you can guide me how can I publish my article on tuxmachine after posting it on xxxxxxxxxxx
13:13 schestowitz; [12:27] I belive you fullfill my request soon.
13:13 schestowitz; [13:04] hi
13:13 schestowitz; [13:05] yes
13:13 schestowitz; [13:05] we can create an account
13:13 schestowitz; [13:05] we are still building the new system and are in a sort of beta
13:13 schestowitz; [13:05] I do have
13:13 schestowitz; [13:06] send me your public ssh key (.pub) to xxxxxxx
13:13 schestowitz; [13:06] posting is done over ssh
13:13 schestowitz; [13:06] I just have user id xxxxxx and email
13:13 schestowitz; [13:07] xxxxxxxxxxxm
13:13 schestowitz; [13:07] I trust you won't add any Windows stories like "WSL" ;-)
13:13 schestowitz; [13:07] I don't have ssh
13:14 schestowitz; [13:07] definitely not
13:14 schestowitz; [13:07] you would need a system capable of connecting to a server over SSH
13:14 schestowitz; [13:08] can b BSD also
13:14 schestowitz; [13:08] no problem
13:14 schestowitz; [13:08] cool
13:14 schestowitz; [13:08] what do you need from my end
13:14 schestowitz; [13:08] just a public ssh key and your preferred username
13:14 schestowitz; [13:09] sure i'll give you
13:14 schestowitz; [13:09] send me over email, it's better that way
13:14 schestowitz; [13:09] share me your email id
