00:52 schestowitz; > ?), like a plate of spaghettis (or something similar because I love
00:52 schestowitz; > spaghettis).
00:52 schestowitz; Some people call that "spaghetti code" (I'm sure you can appreciate the metaphor) which is too tough to maintain and even enhance without breaking all sorts of things. Even accidentally.
00:52 schestowitz; > The MS OS was getting on my nerves for plenty of reasons:
00:52 schestowitz; > Awful boot up and shutdown times. Uncontrolled updates. Impossible to
00:52 schestowitz; > transfer a boot driver to another system in case of an hardware failure.
00:52 schestowitz; > User unfriendliness, etc....
00:52 schestowitz; Yes, I understand.
00:52 schestowitz; > There is still one program I miss in the Linux environment: a simple
00:52 schestowitz; > email client. I had on the MS OS a nearly experimental one : M2 from
00:52 schestowitz; > Opera. Simple, small, user friendly.
00:52 schestowitz; A lot of people foolishly turn to "webmail". But it's not really mail and messages become "web pages" (HTML).
00:52 schestowitz; I've used Thunderbird since 2003, I think. On KDE there's kmail, but I would not call it easy (I used it for years).
00:52 schestowitz; > Of course Linux offers many client starting with Thunderbird. IMHO
00:52 schestowitz; > Thunderbird is another spaghetti programming with a peanut sauce on the

00:52 schestowitz; > tried Bluemail, it has a legible interface but it isn't FOSS. Plain text
00:52 schestowitz; > clients are not for everyone...
00:52 schestowitz; Correct. They're also slower to use for some tasks or use cases. I need to better understand what you find bad in Thunderbird.
00:52 schestowitz; > When I offer to my friends or members of my family to upgrade to Linux,
00:52 schestowitz; > I'd like to offer simplicity in the first instance. A computer doesn't
00:52 schestowitz; > have to turn you into a slave (I am aware the word is banned). The
00:52 schestowitz; > computer is suppose to make your life easier.
00:52 schestowitz; Things used to be like that, but users became "product"; new business model.
00:52 schestowitz; > Therefore, the question: are you aware of an email client that would
00:52 schestowitz; > neet my expectations?
00:52 schestowitz; You can try a bunch of other well known mail clients for Linux, but Thunderbird isn't too bad, maybe you just need to get used to it. It also supports PGP encryption out of the box now.
00:54 schestowitz; Hi Fla,
00:54 schestowitz; What's the latest progress on JD (if any)?
00:54 schestowitz; Kind regards,

11:42 schestowitz; I sincerely apologise for all tipos, errors and incomplete sentences in my last email. I am tipping on a tablet on the one side, and I feel very upset by the situation both in and outside the EPO.
11:43 schestowitz; Now back to the EPO. I feel that many of us, not just employees of the EPO, need truth and transparency. I am very optimistic at one thing: the public will be aware of the scandals in the EPO, many of my colleagues have retired with a "big file" containing confidential documents , a kind of insurance against bullying from the office. At the end, truth will emerge.

I've linked to Phoronix literally tens of thousands of times and defended it a lot from its critics. I need to see the AMD contract by which this transaction was done, dated too (to avoid it being revised in a face-saving exercise).
17:40 schestowitz; Wow, that's a lot.
17:40 schestowitz; First, what's your point and why do you feel he owes you some sort of answer?
17:40 schestowitz; Second, for benchmarking of different EPYC processors, he needs to have the different CPU models to swap into his server. So, he's going to have more than 2 on-hand.
17:40 schestowitz; Third, you don't know if he owns them, or if they're on loan, etc.
17:40 schestowitz; Fourth, you seem to presume it's EPYCs all the way down, but it could be his entire CPU collection, for all we know.
17:40 schestowitz; Finally, if you want a response from Michael, your best bet is to tag him in your post. It's no guarantee, but he's unlikely to see the message otherwise. I don't know why you seem to think he personally reads & approves all forum posts, but he definitely doesn't.
