01:12 schestowitz; @Doc Edward Morbius very easy to collect it, we can require anual subscription instead of monthly. Thats 18 eur per year. Now, if somebody does not pay, then he will have access only to the page of downloading his data and/or destroying the account. Hence the user can download the data and move away to other pod but he wont be allowed to continue posting on this pod unless he pays.

01:12 schestowitz; Yall need to realize that collecting money is not enough. Running a pod also costs time (and nerves); not just for the technical aspects of keeping it up, but also in dealing with users, reacting to feedback and reports, legally assess said reports, etc. The bigger the pod, the more work you need to put into it.
01:12 schestowitz; Its totally fine and understandable if Lukas doesnt want to provide this any longer. He didnt say hes looking for donations. He said he doesnt want to run this pod anymore, hed just transfer it to someone else if they want to take it on.

12:05 schestowitz-TR2; because it was fast and easy

12:05 schestowitz-TR2; and can be turned into mere files

12:05 schestowitz-TR2; no master/flave db setup
12:09 Techrights-sec; yep
12:09 Techrights-sec; yes, static files make distribution and decentralization practical.
12:09 Techrights-sec; Gemini pages are a little more standalone than WWW, so the writing style
12:09 Techrights-sec; needs minor adjustments to include just a slight amount more information
12:09 Techrights-sec; for context each time. Especially as new people arrive.
12:09 Techrights-sec; There are several ways possible but the dealbreaker is that Gemini cannot

12:09 schestowitz-TR2; speaking of which, do you know how the gemini side can extract full video

12:18 Techrights-sec; NPR already has a text site but they are severly compromised financially to bill

12:21 schestowitz-TR2; I can change things ti present extra info oin videois

12:23 Techrights-sec; The Gemini protocol doesn't handle large files due to several bugs. I'm not sure
