Summary: This year’s mass layoffs at Microsoft are having real impact and they’re causing insanely long outages with “[o]nly three people on duty during “power sag”.” To make matters worse, what Microsoft keeps insisting is “the future” has in fact faltered (ChatGPT traffic falls for the third month in a row) and based on market statistics Microsoft has been reduced to almost nothing while Microsoft propaganda sites openly admit [1, 2] that Surface, another casualty of mass layoffs, has no real future. To quote: “Going forward, Microsoft will no longer ship new OS updates or security patches for the original Surface Duo, meaning Android 12L is the last version of the OS it will ever officially receive. Surface Duo only ever got two major OS updates, one shy of the average three that most high-end flagship Android devices get these days.” Does this mean all Microsoft peripherals too are dead?
