This subject has struck a nerve because in the age of centralised social control networks we’ve been seeing lots of this and the agenda unravels while more people flock outwards, perhaps because they belatedly realise that their efforts were simply “farmed” by somebody else.
To use the “means of production” analogy, people need to seize control over their data, their sites (or capsules or some other online presence), and digital life in general. █
