In Australia almost 10% of Microsoft’s workforce has been laid off this year alone (we’re only in July):

With around 2,500 local employees, the latest wave of lay-offs will bring the total number of Australia-based staff axed this year to 200.

The company’s chief commercial officer, Judson Althoff, faced criticism for his lack of transparency, specifically for not providing more details on the layoffs and a planned sales kickoff event this year. The information came to light through internal messages shared with Insider. Being clandestine about mass layoffs is a very bad sign. Even Microsoft ‘fan’ sites are baffled by this.
