In January, Microsoft immediately announced only about a third or the quarter of the total to be removed. Hours ago:

Image: WARN July 2023: MSFT/Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Just two cities, only for now (the law mandates disclosure there). For sure there’s more on the way; so far this year Microsoft had about half a dozen “batches” for January in Washington.
Summary: Microsoft does not yet reveal any totals/numbers (no response when asked for details [1, 2] and Microsoft’s media operative (liar) Jordan Novet just repeats a bogus number), but 276 are laid off in just one US state (based on Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN)) and at least 70 are immediately culled in Ireland (Microsoft employs about 3,500 people in Ireland)
