●● Microsoft Rumour Mill About January (and July) Waves of Layoffs

Posted in Microsoft, Rumour at 10:41 am by Dr. Roy Schestowitz

The word coming through the grapevine (I spoke to people) is that layoffs are imminent, spending cuts are already deep, and the situation is grossly under-reported (media dysfunctional)

Image: MSFT messed up headcount and budgeting badly. You dont increase merit budgets right before recession. You dont go ahead and hire 20K+ folks in the year recession starts. July will be much worse, much much worse.

Summary: A couple of new comments today suggest that not only are Microsoft layoffs coming (rumour says next week and some can “confirm”) but there’s a lot more on the way
