Summary: Technology has turned from a tool of enablement and emancipation into a facilitator of oppression and subjugation over those “using” it (or being used, remotely, by the real owners)
AS we’ve just noted, today's main article was a guest article about education centres being outsourced and further complicated for no real purpose other than graft.
=> just noted | today's main article
There is an asymmetric relationship in today’s computers/computing systems; the people who sit in front of the computers (e.g. “smart” phones) barely control them. They’re mostly being controlled, but they’re under the impression that’s not the case. Richard Stallman has been warning about this for a very long time and we’re meant to ignore him, based on a campaign of defamation.
Either way, the video above goes through today’s long article (in Gemini) and adds more personal thoughts. We hope to be covering those sorts of issues a lot more often in the future. █
