Summary: It seems increasingly and abundantly apparent that the EPO is panicking every time the staff has access to facts, refuting the false narrative spread by management, never mind the distracting puff pieces and barrage of mindless/contentless press releases

IN Part I and Part II of this series we’ve taken note of the fact that Bergot tells António Campinos what to do, reaffirming the widespread (inside the EPO) perception that Benoît Battistelli and his cohorts are still in charge. For one thing, Battistelli’s act of Chinese-style censorship (Battistelli blocked Techrights for publishing truthful information) remains in tact after more than 2.5 years of Campinos. Moreover, media manipulation operations remain fully intact.

“For one thing, Battistelli’s act of Chinese-style censorship (Battistelli blocked Techrights for publishing truthful information) remains in tact after more than 2.5 years of Campinos.”Well, earlier today SUEPO published French and German translations of Kluwer’s coverage regarding the staff survey. Will the EPO start threatening and sanctioning Kluwer Patent Blog the way it did IP Kat? To the point where the people who go by the pen name “Merpel” decided to leave the blog (in the hands of patent maximalists and CIPA proponents)?

Whatever the case is, Techrights is a lot more difficult to censor these days. In the video above I discuss some of the findings from Part II of this series. We’ll publish the rest of it over the weekend and we have half a dozen exhibits to share, accompanying the series in the form of hard evidence. The leaky EPO was a cause for concern to Willy (Guillaume) Minnoye, who didn’t know how to prevent information being spread to Techrights. He’s retired now, but his spirit still haunts the hallways of the (now-empty) Office. █
