The European Patent Office (EPO) still widely uses, as standard, an operating system which WannaCry exploited almost all the time
Summary: The EPO continues to rely on inherently insecure (by design) platforms and Mr. Kraft, Battistelli’s CIO, bragged that the actions of the Office “prevented any damage to the EPO and its reputation”
THE EPO has many issues these days. Cronyism is one among many issues and this CIO of Battistelli is no exception.

To us, it looks as though it was composed by a college student, not because of the grammar but because of the technical language.
It’s bad enough that the EPO uses a platform with NSA back doors at all. But hey, as long as it keeps Microsoft happy. Microsoft is, after all, a special 'client'.

Speaking of EPO and ransomware, recall this older story. █
