●● Novell’s Market Cap Falls Below $2 Billion

ovell’s financial problems (and possible fraud) had Microsoft become its master, which even relocates to Fargo, to an extent. While a full takeover is not seen on the rather grim horizon (Novell serves Microsoft better when it appears independent and can therefore intrude Microsoft’s competitors), it’s interesting to find how valueless NOVL has become. It sank below the $2 billion mark, according to Yahoo Finance.

=> financial problems | possible fraud | Microsoft become its master | relocates to Fargo | full takeover | rather grim | serves Microsoft better | ↺ according to Yahoo Finance

To keep the stock from plunging, Novell is currently buying its own shares [1, 2]. More layoffs are still expected. █
