In a video that was uploaded to YouTube a few days ago, Richard Stallman talks about Free software, the GPLv3, and mixing ‘intellectual property’ with ‘software patents’ — something that Microsoft deliberately does in order to confuse.
To say more on Free software, it is still largely misunderstood in the business world. Only days ago, Mark Pilgrim was ranting about Gobuntu. Gobuntu was born to serve specific needs. It is built for users to whom freedom is an important quality of the software that they use and there is a lot to be said about the qualities of truly free Linux distributions. It’s an article that I published on Monday.
