Getting off Flounder

Flounder has served me well as an introduction to Gemini. It has a simplistic web page with an edit control for creating gemlog entries, and a clunky tree-like control to see all entries in the directory (and buttons to edit or delete them).

Surprisingly, using Gemini over the past month has eliminated the Web from my life! The few occasions I have to use it (mainly banking) leave me disgusted. So it seems extra stupid to start Waterfox to type in my gemlog entries.

It is also an opportunity to improve my vim skills.

I am still on the fence about possibly separating the posts by topic or dumping them all into the same directory. I can always have separate index files in the latter case, and it seems easier to have them all in one place...

How do people manage their gemlogs here? It seems that I am the only one with a simple directory dump. I haven't come across any posts mentioning it, and I can't imagine that everyone just rolls their own shell scripts or whatnot.
