Issued on 2024 Aug 27 0847 UTC

A shock was detected in the solar wind data (DSCOVR and ACE) around 07:32 UTC on August 27. The interplanetary magnetic field jumped from 3 nT to 5 nT, the solar wind speed jumped from 250 km/s to 360 km/s. The shock is probably associated to an ICME arrival related to a faint partial halo CME detected in LASCO/C2 data at 02:00 UTC on August 23. Geomagnetic conditions are expected to be disturbed with unsettled to active conditions possible depending on the Bz.
