Solar alert

Issued on 2022 Sep 04 0736 UTC

Kp has reached 6 (local K_Dourbes up to 5) for the 03:00 to 06:00 UT period, as a result of a high speed solar wind stream arriving to the Earth. The speed reached 680 km/s with interplanetary magnetic field magnitude up to 12 nT, and with a Bz component between -5 and -10 nT. This fast solar wind originates in an equatorial coronal hole (with positive magnetic polarity). More disturbed geomagnetic conditions can be expected in the next 48 hours.
