A shock can be observed in the solar wind parameters about 23 July 02:31UT. The value of the total magnetic field increased from 8 to 17nT, the solar wind speed from 550 to 685 km/s and the density from 8 to 21 ppcc. This is believed to be the arrival of the CME that took place 21 July 01:21UT, associated with the C5.6-class flare from region NOAA AR 3060, which was expected early 23 July.

A full halo coronal mass ejection was detected by the CACTus automated algorithm. Onset time was determined to be 23 July 18:48 UT, with an average speed about 1700 km/s. This is believed to be a backsided event.
