An M1.5 X-ray flare was released this morning from NOAA active region 2887 and was associated with a dimming and an EUV wave. An associated partial halo CME is visible in LASCO C2 coronagraph images from 2:00UT onwards. The CME is mainly directed towards the South-West, with an angular width of around 230 degrees and is expected to have an Earth directed component. It is currently being analyzed and proper speed and arrival estimates will be provided in the daily bulletin.
