I saw a post on the Cosmos Aggregator by Remi Noulin about their terminal gemini browser Telescope. I'd been using Amfora for so long I thought I'd give Telescope a shot. I'm really digging it so far. I used the dark mode configuration and was able to easily add a few of my own colour changes. The commands take some getting used to but it's already starting to sink in.
They mention that it's more of a hobby project so there are some features that are missing. Nonetheless, I really like it for what it does and wanted to spread the word!
Another post I read on Cosmos was Ruario's post on Technology and Nostalgia. They discuss a post by Kev Quirk on the Fediverse about the Casio F-91W and how great it is.
Not an hour later I'd ordered myself a Casio F-91W, it arrived on my doorstep the next day, and I absolutely adore it. It looks slick as hell, it's super light, and is so far quite durable. It's already my daily driver and I could not be happier.
=> Technology, Nostalgia and a nice price point is a very heady drug
Since stumbling upon twtxt a few months ago, it's been on my radar as something I want to start using. I like the idea and it's simplicity is appealing as well.
The only stumbling block I have is how and where I'm going to run it. I'm not really a tech guy so I'm barely piecing together and running what I have now. I hope I can figure something out soon so I can really dig into it and spread the word.
