Ordinarily I use a password manager, but at work I have to remember my password. I also have to change it regularly, and there are complexity requirements.
After many years of dancing this dance at various jobs, I propose the following law:
The time taken to learn to type your password without effort is only slightly less than the time after which you are forced to change it.
If you're feeling maths-y, you can reformulate this law to use the word "asymptotic".
