Victoria Park pagoda ๐Ÿ‚โ›ฉ๏ธ

=> I had a canal boat last November

Regent's Canal passes Victoria Park, where there is a lake. A sign said that in the 19th century the canal was well known as a spot for nude swimming. The Victorians thought this scandalous, so they made the lake for swimming instead. I assume you had to wear something in the lake, but it didn't say. Having seen the very clear water in the canal and the duck-poo-brown soupy lake water, I'd prefer to swim in the canal (but not in November).

The lake has an island with a pagoda. Another sign said that it was a replica of one that had been there in the 1930s, when the local children believed that a Chinese family lived in it and only came out at night to feed the ducks and swans.
