<title>WHY I SWITCHED TO PRUSASLICER</title>

<content type="text/plain"># WHY I SWITCHED TO PRUSASLICER&#xA;&#xA;&#xA;## BACKGROUND PREFERENCE&#xA;&#xA;I have a general aversion to installing new apps, and try to have as few onto my devices as possible. This is even more pronounced when the apps have not been developed well for the OS, leading to unintuitive keystroke shortcuts and other confusing behaviours.&#xA;&#xA;&#xA;## USING CURA&#xA;&#xA;Whilst Cura was easy to tinker with, I ended up collecting a large number of &#34;profiles&#34; which took into account different variable changes across different materials and print-specific needs.&#xA;&#xA;&#xA;## USING CHITUBOX&#xA;&#xA;For resin prints, I was using ChituBox. Though resin printing is a pain when you don&#39;t have an automated cleaning and curing machine, so barely used it.&#xA;&#xA;&#xA;## USING PRUSASLICER&#xA;&#xA;Whilst it&#39;s not a perfect slicer, no slicer is, I can now make FDM and SLA print files from a single app (with a script to convert the SLA file in the background) and also, switching material temperatures is simpler and less prone to mistakes.</content>

<title>PlayStation buttons: am I taking crazy pills</title>

<updated>2022-09-04T00:00:00Z</updated>

<content type="text/plain"># PlayStation buttons: am I taking crazy pills&#xA;&#xA;Nintendo set the standard, buttons are set at A (→) B (↓) X (↑) Y (←).&#xA;&#xA;Let’s say these are buttons 1, 2, 3, and 4.&#xA;&#xA;Now look at the PS buttons, how many lines are used to draw the symbols?&#xA;&#xA;○ (→) ⨉ (↓) △ (↑) □ (←)&#xA;&#xA;The circle is one line, the “x” is two lines, triangle three, and square is four lines. So it seems to me these are the same as the 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the Nintendo.&#xA;&#xA;And yet, for some reason they are swapped around and don’t match the logic which the symbols suggest to me.&#xA;&#xA;Am I taking crazy pills?</content>
