If you want something from someone, ask for it.

It is no one’s job to have your interests at heart. No one can read your mind. You have to speak up.

If you ask, you might get lucky. But luck won’t come uninvited. Don’t bury your dreams.

Asking is honest. Luring people into secret hopes is not.
