I have followed the Gemini protocol for a while now, and have finally decided to create my own capsule. I enjoy the community of sites like bbs.geminispace.org. Everyone there seems to be thoughtful and there isn't much in the way of bad-faith arguing for the sake of argument which you see all over the web.
As seems to be the tradition in inaugural post of these sorts, allow me to give a brief rundown of my setup. My capsule is currently hosted on a Raspberry Pi siting on my desk. I am running Agate and building my capsule with kiln. I may eventually migrate to a dynamic Gemini server, but I don't require anything more than hosting plain text and perhaps media so for the time being my current setup seems to suit me just fine. I really enjoyed the process of putting this capsule together.
I have been reading a good bit since the weather has gotten cold. I might post my thoughts on books I've read. However, I don't really enjoy just books, so unless I have a point to make about a book or the book itself brings up an interesting point
Like many geminauts, I am interested in topics that are technical in nature. However, I will do my best not to turn this into another technical gemlog (although I will probably indulge from time to time). I brew beer professionally. In my free time I enjoy cycling, rock climbing, jui-jitsu. All topics That I haven't seen much if at all in the gemiverse.
Thanks for reading!
