I started writing a post titled "The Web is Babylon". In my initial enthusiasm, I wrote about a third of it in one sitting, and neglected to put it on a 'drafts' branch. Then, of course, life happened, and I wasn't able to work on it. But the presence of it on my main branch kept me from writing commonplace book posts and other quick updates. This morning I bit the bullet and moved it to a branch.
The other night I watched the animated Batman movie "Gotham by Gaslight". I don't think it's a direct adaptation of the graphic novel I read in the... early 90's(?), but it has the same premise – Batman in the Victorian era, hunting down Jack the Ripper. I don't want to say too much about it, except that the AU version of Selina Kyle in it was absolutely spot on in terms of characterization and character design.
