Washing Dishes Is Self-Care

Between garden (more on that another day soon) and kids, having the time available to wash dishes counts as self-care. I haven't been able to for a couple of days, the sink is full, and we're down to the "good" plates.

Normally, when I need to wash dishes, I listen to podcasts. Even so, I was about 20 hours behind on episodes I actually wanted to listen to since the beginning of quarantine – no commute, you see. I recently had cause to wipe my phone of all personal information, and when I reinstalled everything, I declared podcast bankruptcy. I've got maybe three hours lined up to listen to, but I'm not going to. The politics podcasts I like are depressing to me right now. Instead, music. I'm going to listen to weird synthpop from an alternate future, and pretend that I live there for a while.
