After more than twenty-two years, I have deleted my hispasonic account. Hispasonic is one of the most relevant sound-related content websites in Spanish. The reason? The false equidistance with the genocide in Palestine.
They published, once again, an article-announcement about a new product from Waves (audio software company based in Israel), of course with a referral link to scrape a few bucks. I found it strange that nobody had said anything before, so I left a comment: “In my opinion, Hispasonic should reflect on whether it is right to give visibility to products from Israel-based companies”. I think that's a pretty respectful comment.
The response was the following: they “moderated” my comment (they left it hidden for the rest of the users) and wrote me a message telling me that they “didn't want to participate in that kind of controversies on the web”. I immediately told them that their position had already been made clear.
In short, good riddance.
