• Mom showed up at the place I'm staying today. She wants me to be back for christmas because she doesn't want to cause a fuss with the family. It was very angering to have that be the reason why, but even if it's temporary, it's food and shelter so I might have to say yes anyway.
• We put up Christmas decorations today; I love how cats kick tinsel like it's prey... A very noisily-feathered bird.
• Christmas decorating means it's time for me to think about Christmas gifting, and consequently, money. I can't afford anything for my loved ones, I wouldn't know what to get my family for obvious reasons, and I'm also out of art supplies to make anything...
• The internet here is very wobbly on my laptop and I'm worried that using my phone as a hotspot is going to overheat it and break it.
• Planning to look at yt-dlp when I'm done writing this entry, and on the topic of alternatives, I still would really like something centralized but encrypted and not-paywalled for chat. Which is Hard! One single server means the costs skyrocket... Oh, I need to look at SSB's new implementation also. Will do that now.
